Kinesiology for Adults - 

Anxiety & Stress

Kinesiology is considered to be a complete form of complimentary wellness care.  It uses gentle muscle testing to look for, understand and aid in supporting any imbalance within the body.  

​Your session at the Dragonfly Healing Room looks at all the elements that may be affecting your health.  Kinesiology is a holistic therapy which uses muscle response to a muscle test.  I do this by placing your arms, legs or head into specific positions then apply a light pressure against the muscle that is being tested.  The muscle response measures the motor response of the central nervous system to a sensory challenge.

Anxiety & Stress

We live in a 24/7 culture.  It seems a challenge to have 'time' to yourself, rather that we are surrounded by technology and media which provide constant 'alerts' to our systems. 

We are also trying to 'cram' more into our day and have less opportunity to relax.  One of my clients had a very good explanation for the challenges she was feeling.  She explained that she had many things to do and was conscious that there were all these activities and tasks to be completed but was also very aware that she was then not taking time to do the things that she wanted to do or take 'time out' to do and in both these areas she was feeling anxious that one was not helping the other.

We put ourselves through a lot, and sometimes our bodies have to remind us that they need 'looking after'.  One of the ways that they do this is by giving us symptoms.  Symptoms are our friends.  They give us an insight into how our body is feeling. 


Sometimes these symptoms will include:

  • Restlessness

  • Difficulty concentrating 

  • Irritability 

  • Tiredness

  • Muscle aches and tension

  • Difficulty falling or staying asleep

  • Feeling light-headed or dizzy

  • Feeling tense

  • Feeling like you can't stop worrying

What do sessions involve? 

As I assess the muscles, I will create an individual wellness plan which may have the following suggestions: 

  • Food supplements

  • Dietary changes including advice on food and chemical sensitivities 

  • Gentle relaxation techniques
